Judy Ann Santos warns against fake ads using celebrities
MANILA, Philippines — Actress Judy Ann Santos warned the public of advertisements falsely using celebrities to promote certain products.
Santos called out on Sunday a weight loss drink brand for using her as endorser of its product.
“Once again.. i am not endorsing “PURPLE MANGOSTEEN” .. never saw this product , never tried.. and never will.. hindi ko kilala kung sino ang mga tao sa likod nitong produktong ito.. at kung sino ang gumagawa nito,” Santos wrote in an Instagram post.
The actress reminded her followers not to believe advertisements if it was not shared by celebrities themselves on their official social media accounts.
“Beware of people using celebrities to promote their products.. hanggat hindi po mismong ako o kahit na sinong celebrity ang nag post or nagsabing ginagamit namin ang isang produkto, wag na wag po kayong maniniwala,” she said.
“Kaya may mga sarili kaming accounts para mismong sa amin manggagaling ang mga balita na gusto naming iparating sa inyong lahat,” she added.
Santos also clarified she does not own any Facebook account and asked her fans to unfollow pages under her name.
“I DONT HAVE ANY FACEBOOK ACCOUNT ANYMORE.. pls,” she said. “If you are following the facebook account under “JUDY ANN AGONCILLO OR JUDY ANN SANTOS AGONCILLO “ pls. Pls. Pls.. unfollow..”
In March, Santos disowned a Facebook page named after her which was offering business opportunities to its followers. (Editor: Julie Espinosa)
