JM De Guzman to release new album

MANILA, Philippines — Actor JM De Guzman announced Friday he is set to launch a new album seven years after his last release.

De Guzman shared via Instagram a photo of his contract signing with ABS-CBN’s Star Music captioned: “Another milestone.”

The 30-year-old actor will release an eight-track record and five of which are written by himself.

The other three will be written by singer-songwriter Moira Dela Torre, OPM icon Rico Blanco and Raphael Kyle who won songwriting contest “Himig Handog 2018.”

“Sana po ay abangan ninyo ang 8 track album ko sa ilalim ng @starmusicph  lima po dito ay aking isinulat at tatlo po ay galing sa mga aking iniidolo na sina @moirarachelle , @raphaelkyle_ @ricoblanco100,” De Guzman wrote.

The album title and release date have yet to be announced.

De Guzman’s last release was a revival of Rivermaya’s 1994 hit “214” for Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil’s latest film “Alone/Together.”

It was in 2012 when De Guzman last released an album titled “Tensionado.” He launched his self-titled debut album in 2011.  (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
