Ed Sheeran announces new album 'No. 6 Collaborations Project'

MANILA, Philippines–English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran announced Thursday his upcoming album “No. 6 Collaborations Project.”

The album will be released on July 12, according to the singer’s Facebook post.

Sheeran also told a little back story about the process of making the upcoming album.

“Before I was signed in 2011, I made an EP called No. 5 Collaborations Project. Since then, I’ve always wanted to do another, so I started No. 6 on my laptop when I was on tour last year,” he said.

Among the songs Sheeran will release is “Cross Me,” a team-up with American rappers Chance The Rapper and PnB Rock.

“I’m a huge fan of all the artists I’ve collaborated with and it’s been a lot of fun to make,” Sheeran added.

The album will also include his previously released single with Justin Bieber “I Don’t Care.”

Sheeran’s last album was “Divide” released in 2017. Since then, he has collaborated with Beyoncé for a remix on his song “Perfect,” Taylor Swift for “End Game” and Eminem for “River.” (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
