LOOK: Slater Young, Kryz Uy move into stylish Cebu home

Slater Young and Kryz Uy have finally moved into their Cebu home after their February wedding.

Uy said on Instagram that they slept in their home, which they call the Skypod, for the first time last May 13. At the time, she hoped for help in cleaning up the place. “To our friends who want to visit, please bring rugs and help us clean lol,” she wrote.

On the same day, Young shared a picture of their house blessing presided over by a priest.

A look at the sprawling bungalow from the outside was shared by LLG Architects, the Cebu-based firm that designed the Skypod. Warm lights illuminated the area and the wooden ceiling. A pool can be seen between two different areas of the house, while tables and chairs were set up outside.

A few days later on May 16, the “Pinoy Big Brother” alum posted a picture of him lounging in the living room, which is surrounded by large panes of glass from floor to ceiling.

“This project has been one of the most stressful things i have ever done,” Young admitted in his Instagram post. “Not only because we were trying to do something different and architecturally challenging, but also because we planned on finishing it as fast as possible (We planned on completing it in 7 months, but we moved in in 9 months).”

Meanwhile, Uy shared a picture on May 16 of their dark wooden dining table as she stretched on one of the sleek brown chairs made with an iron frame.

“This whole week was about cleaning up, moving in and getting settled,” the lifestyle vlogger said. “And while we’re still at about 30% of the way, I’m so happy and thankful to finally call this place home.”

She also gave credit to both sides of their families for helping out with the move, from providing house plants to teaching them how to use a dishwasher.

A look into their kitchen shows more of the elegant industrial interiors of the home, such as white marble counters, light wooden stools and appliances, and decor in shiny metal colors.

On Saturday, May 18, Uy shared a picture of her in front of circular vanity mirrors with light bulbs around them and mused about how much the house had cost them.

She said, “After listing down our #skypod expenses, i’m currently contemplating my life choices lol. Bye bye shopping for now. It was nice knowing you!”

On Monday, May 20, Uy opened up about the challenges they faced in setting up their new life in the Skypod.

She shared a picture of her days before their wedding, noting that “I feel like I’m looking at a different girl.”

“Marriage didn’t really change much for me—but having a house was like WOAAAH.”

“This past week we’ve been learning how to cook, clean, maintain a pool, manage a household, fix electrical and plumbing issues—it never ends!”

Giving credit to her husband, she said, “I’m lucky to have a partner who’s getting down and dirty with me.”

“I don’t think I’ll ever have the same amount of time to fix my hair or do my make up like this anymore,” she said.

Young assured her in the comments, “Everyday you look more and more beautiful my love.”  /ra
