HEARD: Story behind ‘Urban Zone’ farewell

/ 05:11 PM March 10, 2012

Since January “Urban Zone (UZ)” has been missing from the airwaves. Host Daphne Oseña-Paez explains that UZ’s departure from ABS-CBN and TFC was “purely a business decision by Bayan Productions, which produced the show for five and a half years.”

Though a small independent production, UZ was respected by the design, construction and real-estate industries, Paez recalls. “It was even featured in Vogue Italia.”

She thanks the show’s loyal followers. “It will be back in another form and medium. In the meantime, I continue to show photo and video reports through my website https://daphne.ph – which was featured in Vogue Italia, too.”

Daphne is also grateful to Bayan Productions and ABS-CBN “for giving UZ the opportunity to inspire a huge market, promote Filipino design and help drive an industry forward.”
