My interview with lead actress Jane Oineza of the upcoming movie ‘Finding You’

Jane Oineza literally grew up in showbiz. She has been appearing on television and movies for 18 years already. It all became possible for her to achieve this highly impressive feat because she made the smooth, gradual and successful transition from being a child star to a teen star and now a full-fledged actress. She can take on a multitude of varying roles that showcase her acting chops, versatility and range. At her young age of 22, Jane Oineza has become one of the most dependable and bankable young actresses of her generation.
Now, to the present. Jane Oineza is the lead co-star of Jerome Ponce in ‘Finding You’ from Regal Entertainment Inc. which is a romantic-drama with an edge, a unique story to tell, and a surprising main plot detail that surely will get the interest of moviegoers.
‘Finding You’ from Regal Entertainment Inc. will be another movie that Jane Oineza can add to her belt because she will again be able to show everyone how good an actress she is and why she has lasted for over 18 years in the local entertainment industry.
‘Finding You’ is scheduled for a nationwide release in cinemas on May 29, 2019.
Below is my short interview with Jane Oineza:
- Was this your very first movie that your leading man’s onscreen character has a rare medical condition ?
Jane Oineza: Yes, very interesting siya kasi yun nga first time din na tatahakin ang hyperthymesia. And iinisip ko nga din paano yun, paano yung ipapakita, paano malalagay yun into a person, a character, and paano eto ilalagay sa kuwento ng movie.
- Did you think your role in ‘Finding You’ to be a bit challenging in any way ?
Jane Oineza: Sa pagiging challenging naman, masasabi ko kakaiba eto sa mga character na ginagawa ko recently. Mas lalo ko na push ko sarili ko dito dahil sa character ko. Kasi normally mga ginagawa ko ay mga dark, more on mga mabibigat, and sexy. But this is a little different because meron din siya drama and a little light. And some other things na hindi ko puwede pa sabihin. No spoilers here. This is going to be unique in tone and it adds diversity sa mga roles. This is something to look forward to.
- Do you think ‘Finding You’ will appeal to everyone other than the millennials and the youth of today ?
Jane Oineza: I think hindi lang naman siya para sa millennials kundi sa lahat ng mga tao na dumaan sa mga heartbreaks, sa mga relationships, pero siguro mas tumatatak din eto sa mga millennials kasi nga this is about social media din. Lahat nung mga throwback posts, yung mga ganun, na yun ang mangyayari kay “Nel” yung character ni Jerome Ponce, kasi meron siya hyperthymesia na lahat na aalala niya, pero there is a certain throwback post na hindi niya aalala. So yun, yun.
