Dingdong Dantes pens touching message to mark son’s first month

MANILA, Philippines — It has already been a month since actress Marian Rivera gave birth to baby Sixto and Dingdong Dantes wrote a loving message to mark the special day.

Dantes, a motorcycle enthusiast, posted Thursday a photo of sleeping Sixto atop a motorbike captioned: “You seem pretty comfortable on that saddle, huh? But hey, it is too big and you may only pose on it…for now.”

“Alright, okay, yes, maybe one day you can ride it and even own it. But that’s really not what i want you to have. Material things get old, expire and tear down,” he continued.

While the big bike was beautiful, Dantes pointed out it is “just a thing” and he would want to give Sixto the lesson of how to value people.

“I would also never give that as a gift because as beautiful as it may appear, it is, after all, just a thing. What i want you to have and what i will continue to give you is the ability to value people and relationships,” Dantes said.

“One day you’ll hone it and make it your own unique talent and characteristic — even far better than your forefathers,” he added. “But if you’ll seriously want to ride, i’ll make sure i am healthy enough to teach you a thing or two. That is, if your Mother would even allow it.”

Dantes and Rivera welcomed their second child Sixto on April 16, 2019. The couple’s first child is Zia, who was born in 2015.  (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
