Jasmine Curtis-Smith is hopeful that she’ll end up marrying her boyfriend, Jeff Ortega, in the future. But before she seriously considers settling down, the actress wants to see to it first that she grows and reaches her “100 percent as an individual.”

“There are still many things I want to achieve on my own … as a sister, daughter, actress … for myself,” Jasmine told reporters recently. “I want to have something I can call my own, without the help of my family and boyfriend.”

“I have to fix whatever needs fixing … I don’t want to burden him with whatever I’m carrying,” added the Kapuso talent, who’s set to open a boutique hotel with Jeff in La Union soon.

“I want to learn and go through the process. I tell him that we have this project together in addition to our relationship. But acting is mine,” she pointed out.

“We don’t want to deprive each other of doing our own thing … So, when it’s time to tie the knot—God willing—we can be sure that we have no regrets; that we supported one another,” Jasmine added. —ALLAN POLICARPIO
