Karla Estrada hits VCM malfunction: Pati pag-boto, sakripisyo

MANILA , Philippines – Actress and TV show host Karla Estrada bemoaned her struggles in voting when the vote-counting machine (VCM) in her assigned precinct malfunctioned, but still urged voters to persevere and take part in the electoral exercise.

One of the hosts of ABS-CBN’s “Magandang Buhay” took to Instagram on Monday to air her frustration and post selfies of her waiting in line with other voters.

“[I am] waiting sa pila para bumoto! Sira ang machine ng precinct namin kaya tulala lang kami dito sa pila! Pati pag boto sakripisyo ([I am] waiting in line to vote. The machine in our precinct conked out so we are just waiting in line. Even voting is a sacrifice.)

Estrada also called out the eventual winners of today’s elections: “Kaya kayong mga mahahalal galingan n’yo talaga. (To those who will be elected, you have perform well).”

“Bangon mga kababayan at bumoto para may karapatan kang punahin ang mga maluluklok na hindi mag tratrabaho (Get up and vote, my fellow Filipinos, so you have the right to criticize elected officials who do not perform well.)” she added.

Many other voters and candidates, including Sen. Grace Poe and former vice president Jejomar Binay, likewise encountered VCM malfunction – related problems.
