What is causing Yen Santos’ love trauma

Yen Santos

Actress Yen Santos admitted that she felt love trauma because of what happened to her character Jacky in the now-defunct drama series “Halik.”

“I have said in my interviews that I hope for my next boyfriend to be ‘the one.’ I had really planned to get married when I turn 30, but with what I experienced with my character in ‘Halik,’ I’m now having second thoughts,” she told the Inquirer.

She explained: “You will really doubt yourself. Jacky is the perfect wife. She is kind and intelligent. She is not exactly ugly—she’s OK. So why would her husband still choose to cheat on her?”

Yen’s husband in the series, Ace, is played by Sam Milby.

“I know Ace loves her, too. Whenever they’re together, Ace never showed any signs that there was something going on; but behind that facade, he was actually cheating on her. I can’t help but think, ‘What if…?’” Yen reflected.

“But of course, each story is different. I just hope that what happened to Jacky doesn’t happen to me. It just kind of makes me think about marriage in general,” the actress pointed out.

After working on the top-rated ABS-CBN series, Yen is now busy doing a dramedy (drama-comedy) film with the working title “Two Love You,” which is intended for the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival.—MARINEL R. CRUZ
