Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi’s daughter Cassy rocked her prom wearing an armor-inspired gown quite reminiscent of French heroine Joan of Arc. The gown was a bold deviation from Cassy’s classic, glamorous midnight-blue creation from her first prom in 2018.
The 18-year-old took to social media to share photos of her silver armor-inspired gown, created by Filipino fashion designer Vee Tan.
“I’m my own knight in shining armor,” said Cassy via Instagram on April 29. “Thank you Ms. Vee for my gown! You can tell from the second pic that I’m amazed with it.”
This year, Cassy attended prom night with a friend, a certain Luigi Teodoro, instead of twin-brother Mavy who was her prom date last year. In another post, she can be seen posing arm in arm with said friend.
“Don’t want ya in our bloodline, yuh,” she quipped. “Take your lil’ bro to prom day.”
She also did not miss snapping as many photos as she could with her girl friends in the venue, even if it meant taking some mirror photos while inside the restroom.
Designer Tan also took to her official Instagram page where she shared photos of Cassy wearing the finished gown.
Tan called Cassy a free spirit and her gown nothing short of bold for the message it delivered: that she is her own person.
“A free spirit with all kinds of pretty on the inside and out,” Tan said yesterday, May 1. “@cassy smashing prom in an armor inspired piece. Beautiful, yet very bold.”
Happy prom night, Cassy! /ra
