After spending her 29th birthday on the beach, Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu decided to give back in an outreach program in Tarlac, sharing her blessings with underprivileged kids and senior citizens.
The “Chinita Princess” celebrated her birthday making other people happy, as she posted a series of photos and videos on Instagram last Friday, April 26. In the video, which is a montage of her charity work, kids sang “Happy Birthday” to the actress.
The “Mr. Right” singer also posted her meeting with Baby Aki, a child with a liver disease whose story went viral last March. She revealed that she donated her first YouTube salary for the baby’s liver transplant.
“Ever since, I always have a soft spot pagdating sa mga bata (when it comes to kids),” Chiu said.
Chiu also thanked her YouTube viewers, saying, “Posting this not to boast but to thank [those who viewed my YouTube videos.]”
In another post, the “Pinoy Big Brother” ex-housemate shared her experience of giving back to the less fortunate, saying, “[I] would not want to celebrate my day [any other way] than this.” She also thanked those who bought secondhand clothes for charity.
Before the outreach program, Chiu celebrated her birthday with her family last April 19, in Balesin Island, Quezon.
