MANILA, Philippines — Fans can now have their tickets refunded for the “Avengers: Endgame” screening with Chinese subtitles.
“To our valued moviegoers who have already booked their tickets but prefer watching the film without subtitles, you may refund your tickets at the ticketing booths where the booking or purchase was made starting today,” Megaworld Lifestyle Malls said in a statement Tuesday.

The mall chain said it noticed “a strong demand from moviegoers coming from other countries, particularly those from China” hence the decision to include subtitles in select screenings.
“Showing movies with subtitles is not something new to the film industry as it allows better appreciation to non-English speaking movie goers,” it emphasized.
To further prove their point, Megaworld said: “In fact, even a number of award-winning Filipino films have also been shown in Philippines cinemas with English subtitles in recent years.”
