WATCH: James Corden tests BLACKPINK’s nerves in ‘Flinch’
Does BLACKPINK have what it takes to prove it can pass James Corden’s challenge?
The television host tested the global sensation K-pop group’s nerves by playing “Flinch,” as seen in a “Late Late Show” episode aired Thursday night in the US.
Before starting the game, Corden first asked the girls who gets scared the easiest, and BLACKPINK member Lisa pointed at Jennie. “That’s me,” Jennie admitted while raising her hand. “I’m terrified already.”
Since Corden noticed that Jennie was shaking, he said “it was only fitting” that she and co-member Jisoo go first.
As part of the game, the two were made to stand in front of a glass wall, and made to anticipate Corden’s firing of fruits and vegetables at them at a high speed.

The next to go in front of the wall were Lisa and Rosé. Rosé declared that the two of them were “pretty brave,” adding that since she and Lisa were younger than Jennie and Jisoo, they were always there to protect them.
“When you came to America, did you think that this would be something you might be doing?” Corden asked.
“Not at all,” Rosé replied, with Lisa shaking her head no. “[We thought] that LA would be sunshine and happiness all around.”
Unfortunately, Rosé and Lisa were not able to protect themselves, as they both flinched when fruits came flying fast to the glass wall.
Having been bitten by curiosity, the girls then asked Corden if he himself flinches when he plays the game. Corden then obliged to stand in front of the glass wall.
BLACKPINK loaded up the cannon with several fruits, as their way of getting back at Corden. Rosé then asked Corden, “How many times have you done this before?”
While Corden answered, Jennie secretly pressed the button that made the fruits shoot at high speed toward him. However, the girls were surprised when Corden did not flinch, and even smiled at them.
The K-pop sensation is currently in the US for the second leg of its world tour. The girls are also set to perform again this weekend at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. /ra
