Xian Lim looked back on how he met and fell for Kim Chiu, who celebrated her 30th birthday on Friday.
“Happy birthday to this beautiful person,” the Kapamilya actor greeted his girlfriend in an Instagram post.
“We first met about 10 years ago and I [remember] seeing one of your [billboards] while driving and I remember saying to myself…’siguro ang sarap mahalin ang isang katulad mo (I think it feels good to love someone like you),'” Lim gushed in his greeting. “True enough, we started working together and I fell in love with you right away.”
Wanting to avoid his message to sound “too cheesy,” Lim told Chiu: “Stay the way you are.”
“Keep being you because we see an awesome person that is brought in this world for a great reason,” he added. “Keep inspiring the people around you and stay beautiful inside out.”
Lim’s message made his fans and followers gush, including fellow celebrities Precious Lara Quigaman, Sam YG and Marc Nelson.

Chiu and Lim were first paired together in the 2011 teleserye “My Binondo Girl.” After much speculation, the actress confirmed that they were in a relationship during a “Tonight with Boy Abunda” interview aired in November 2018.
The couple is currently vacationing in Taiwan. /ra
