Saab Magalona recently took to social media to call out Pancake House for overcharging her order. Magalona told the restaurant chain that one of its branches should be looked into for charging her driver almost P100 more than her total bill.

“My driver picked up my order, they charged him almost 100 more than my total and they only gave me an order slip, no receipt,” she said via Twitter yesterday, April 16. “They charged me delivery fee too when no delivery was made.”

She shared a photo of her order slip, which shows the total at P573.90. She said, however, that her total bill was only P479 when she called the restaurant’s hotline.

“I called the hotline to place my order and my total was only 479 pesos,” she said. “I think kumi-kickback sila (I think they are getting kickbacks).”

The restaurant has since responded to Magalona’s concerns following her tweets and sincerely apologized. It also vowed to do all the necessary actions in connection with the incident.

Meanwhile, Magalona added that the staff from the branch was apologetic and gave her money back. She, however, thought it apt to still call the restaurant’s attention since the staff seemed unable to explain why it overcharged her in the first place.

“They were apologetic and gave me 100% money back but wanted to call your attention [because] they couldn’t seem to explain themselves and I don’t want them doing this to other people.”  /ra
