“Saw Lightning” is the first single from Beck’s upcoming new album, “Hyperspace”.
The American singer has also teased that the next record will be out “at an as yet undetermined point in the space-time continuum.”
“Saw Lightning” features backing vocals and instrumentation by Pharrell Williams — who also co-wrote and co-produced the track with Beck. It is the soundtrack to the new campaign for Beats by Dr. Dre Powerbeats Pro, shot by “Guava Island” director Hiro Murai.
“Hyperspace” will be Beck’s 14th studio album, following his 2017 “Colors”, The LP won Best Alternative Music Album at the 61st Grammy Awards held this year — beating out records by Arctic Monkeys (“Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino”) and Björk (“Utopia”).
Recently, Beck guested on Cage the Elephant’s latest single “Night Running.” He also released “Tarantula” from the soundtrack of Alfonso Cuaron’s drama “Roma,” and “Super Cool” featured in “LEGO Movie 2”. MKH
