Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres remains positive as she recently received her third round of treatment after being diagnosed with skin cancer.
In an Instagram video posted on Sunday, April 14, the Puerto Rican beauty queen provided her fans an update on her skin cancer treatment, holding up the number three as she received her third round of treatment.
“Counting my blessings, always surrounded by love,” the model-actress said.
“Tengo los mejores Amigos y Familia del mundo… y el Cariño, Oraciones y Buenos Deseos de todos ustedes,” Torres added.
(I have the best friends and family in the world, and the love, prayers and good wishes from all of you.)
In the video, Torres can be seen smiling despite her battle with the disease, as she spent quality time with her mother, brother and friends by playing board games in the hospital room.
The “Basta’t Kasama Kita” actress also received love from her friends Gary Valenciano and Arlene Mulach.
“We love you Yari…we all do,” said singer-songwriter Valenciano.
During World Cancer Day in February, Torres disclosed that she was diagnosed with melanoma. The 44-year-old beauty queen started getting treatment last March 2. /ra
