“Megastar” Sharon Cuneta flew home to the Philippines from her concert tour of the US and Canada that took her away for over a month.
Cuneta shared to her fans via Instagram today, April 2, that she has arrived in Manila. In her post, she shared a photo of son Miguel inside the car, on the way home from the airport.
“Hi everyone just on my way home from the airport. Thanks for all your prayers people!” she said. “Time to relax my mind now. Happy to be home but sad too because I hold in my heart all the LOVE I received from the tour.”
Despite just having come from a concert tour abroad, Cuneta shared she will be back to work in a few days to shoot “Kuwaresma.”
“Kuwaresma” is a horror movie directed by Erik Matti and is the Megastar’s first project with the award-winning filmmaker.
“In a few days, back to Baguio to finish our movie ‘Kuwaresma,’” she said. Thank you for all your prayers! My [heart] is so full. Actually, so unbelievably OVERFLOWING with love and happiness!”
Cuneta was warmly welcomed home by her fur babies, as shown in a video she shared.
“The big welcome home from my furbabies!” she said.
She was also greeted with sweet, heartfelt messages from husband Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan (who fondly calls her “Sutart”), Miguel and daughters Frankie and Miel.
Cuneta was joined by eldest daughter KC Concepcion in her US-Canada concert tour, which was in celebration of her 40 years in the entertainment industry. This was after Cuneta marked her 40th anniversary with a sold-out concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in September 2018. /ra
