MANILA, Philippines — Actor Coco Martin endorsed the bid of reelectionist senator Grace Poe in the upcoming midterm elections.
Martin joined Poe’s son Brian Poe Llamanzares in a motorcade around the towns of Dumanjug, Santander, Tuburan and Danao City in Cebu on Sunday, Mar. 31.
“Hinihingi ko po sana ang tulong ninyo dahil sa sobra pong pagmamahal ko sa taong ito, ang tinuturing ko pong ate at isa sa mga taong pinakikinggan ko at gumagabay sa akin, si Grace Poe,” Martin was quoted as saying.
“Sana po tulungan po ninyo sa darating na halalan, number 55 Grace Poe. Sana po suportahan niyo kaming muli,” he added.
Martin plays the role of Cardo Dalisay in ABS-CBN’s long-running action drama series “Ang Probinsyano,” which is based on the 1997 film of Poe’s late father Fernando Poe Jr.
Poe’s mother Susan Roces, who plays the character of Lola Flora, is a co-star of Martin.
Martin also endorsed the senatorial bid of Lito Lapid, who recently exited as “Romulo” in “Ang Probinsyano.” /cbb
