Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino announces its first 3 official entries

MANILA, Philippines — The Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP) has announced the first three official entries that will compete in its third year’s festival.

PPP revealed on Thursday the first three entries in its official Facebook page.

First on the list is “Cuddle Weather” to be directed by Rod Marmol under film outfit Project 8 corner San Joaquin Projects. Actors who will star in the film have yet to be announced.

The second entry is “LSS” headlined by Gabbi Garcia, Khalil Ramos and indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben. The film will be directed by Jade Castro for Globe Studios.

“The Panti Sisters,” the third entry, will be directed by Perci Intalan for The IdeaFirst Company and will star Paolo Ballesteros, Christian Bables and Martin Del Rosario.

This year’s PPP runs from September 13 to 19. According to its Facebook page, it is a nationwide week-long film celebration where all movie theaters in the country will exclusively screen Filipino films. /muf
