Former television host-actress Jaymee Joaquin shared that she was diagnosed with breast cancer again, two years after she had beaten the disease.

The former “Games Uplate Live” host said she was “mustering the courage and finding the right words” to tell her fans and followers that the disease is back. Joaquin said this in an Instagram post on Friday.

“The cancer has come back,” she said. “I don’t want to disclose specific info right now but one thing’s for sure… the recurrence was detected super early and medical team are still doing more tests to make sure all bases are covered.”

While she was diagnosed anew, Joaquin was optimistic to beat the disease again. “What I have is highly treatable with hormonal therapy and very manageable which means I can live many more years and there’s still a lot of HOPE to WIN over this,” she said.

She then asked her followers for their support and prayers, and said she will lie low on social media for now.

“I will come around when my cup is filled and I’m ready to inspire, uplift and empower once again,” she said. “But for now, I need to take care of me and do a lot of praying and meditating.”

“This is gonna be an epic battle,” she added. “And with God’s grace, my medical team, my loved ones and your support, I’m a WIN the second time around. Let’s keep the faith and hope for the best.”

In January 2018, Joaquin inspired everyone when she bounced back after beating cancer the first time. “To the dreamers out there, never give up. Keep dreaming. Keep thriving. Keep believing,” Joaquin said then.

Joaquin was first diagnosed with 2A breast cancer in 2016, and has been in remission since 2017. These days, she is based in the US and is a budding commercial model and blogger.  /ra
