Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach made history in September 2018 when she became the first Filipino to get a wax figure at Madame Tussauds. And in just a little over a week, Wurtzbach’s wax figure will finally be unveiled in Manila.
The big reveal will be made at the SM Mega Fashion Hall in Mandaluyong City on March 29 with none other than Wurtzbach herself in attendance. This was announced by Madame Tussauds Hong Kong in its official Instagram account yesterday, March 20.
“It took months to make Pia Wurtzbach’s figure, but it’ll be only one more week before you get to see it in Manila!” wrote Madame Tussauds.
Wurtzbach, meanwhile, could not help but feel excited as she took to her Instagram Stories on the same day to express her feeling of being “immortalized,” calling it a “dream come true.”
“I can’t wait for this!” she said. “I can’t believe I’m gonna be immortalized in Madam Tussauds! Dream come true.”

Wurtzbach worked closely with the Madame Tussauds London’s wax-making team to find the shades that matched her hair and eye color, which the team then used for her wax figure.
“We really could not have imagined having anyone but her to represent the Philippines in this way,” Madame Tussauds general manager Jenny You said then. “And what better way to share this milestone than on her birthday.”
