Ethel retweeted a news post on Monday, March 4 where Revilla said capital punishment should be used to stop plunder. In response, she shared the phone numbers to a suicide hotline, the Manila Lifeline Centre.

While the comedian did not say much, she appears to have implied that Revilla could be shooting himself in the foot — the actor-turned-politician still faces 16 counts of graft over allegations of his involvement in the pork barrel scam.

He allegedly released P517 million of his Priority Development Assistance Fund or pork barrel to bogus organizations under Janet Lim-Napoles, to receive kickbacks.

Back in December, Revilla was acquitted of plunder in cases related to the pork barrel scam. It seems, however, that some are still not convinced that he is innocent.

Twitter user @krisannetoni commented, “Handa ka na ba Kap?” (Are you ready, Captain?)

Meanwhile, one @bosstonyboy said, “Yung kailangan mong magpa bibo kahit na kapalit nito ay buhay mo.” (When you need to act smart but you might die for it.)

Although Revilla was acquitted, the Office of the Ombudsman said last January that Revilla should be accountable to pay back P124.5 million in civil damages because the scam transpired under his supervision.

Previously, Ethel took a dig at Revilla when he filed his candidacy from jail, remarking that he should file an NBI clearance first. JB
