Katy Perry gushes about how Orlando Bloom proposed to her in a helicopter
Orlando Bloom did not hold back in his Valentine’s Day proposal to Katy Perry.
The pop singer dished on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” yesterday, Feb. 26, about the grand engagement that took place in a helicopter and involved a few clumsy hiccups.
“We went to dinner, and I thought we were gonna see some art after dinner, but we pulled up to a helicopter,” Perry said.
While they had champagne in the helicopter, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor pulled a note from his pocket and handed it to Perry for her to read.
But not everything fit well into his coat pocket—particularly something important like the ring. As he pulled the box from his pocket, he wound up elbowing the champagne bottle which fell on the floor.
All this time, Perry said she pretended not to know what was going on. Despite the commotion, the “Firework” singer ended up saying yes and was impressed by the whole gesture.

Perry said she could not get angry with him because of how attractive he was. “‘Oh you’re so hot, fine, take it,’” was her reaction, she said.
The burger ended up sparking conversation between them. “I saw him at a party, and I was like, ‘How are those onions resting on your molars?’ and he was like, ‘I like you.’”
The engagement marks both Perry and Bloom’s second chance at marriage. Perry was previously wed to comedian Russell Brand, while Bloom’s ex-wife is model Miranda Kerr. Niña V. Guno /ra
