Jhong Hilario as a normal MRT commuter: ‘Struggle is real’
Just like any other commuter, Jhong Hilario had this to say about his Metro Rail Transit (MRT) ride experience: “Struggle is real.”
The “It’s Showtime” mainstay, also known as “The Sample King” for his impressive dance moves, documented his MRT ride along EDSA on Tuesday, Feb. 19.
Based on the photo, Hilario, who is seen wearing sunglasses, appeared unnoticeable, blending in with the crowd of fellow commuters.

This is not Hilario’s first time to ride the MRT and document it. In January 2017, the actor-dancer also took the train to beat traffic, and even asked fellow “It’s Showtime” host Anne Curtis where she is in the ride.
Curtis also has taken the MRT and posted about it: one time was when she promoted a TV show, while another time was to simply beat the traffic.

Some netizens reacted on Hilario’s post. One named @tafzash said, “Ay wow di ka nila [nakilala kuya] @jhonghilario” (Wow, they didn’t recognize you.)
Meanwhile, one @iampjmorada said the commuters were lucky to ride with him.
His former “It’s Showtime” co-host Eric Tai said that his current struggle is “still a blessing.”
Despite the usual breakdowns, a lot of people do rely on the MRT – even celebrities like Hilario. JB
