The chef who sent actress Sunshine Cruz lewd messages has apologized, days after he was exposed on social media and fired from his job.

Cruz took to social media last Feb. 12 to expose screenshots of lewd messages from Lorence Guardian, now former chef of fine dining bistro Epilogue in S Maison, Conrad Manila.

The messages, which were sent to Cruz on Jan. 13 and Feb. 12 via Instagram, read: “Fantasising about your daughter, kissing her back while touching her” and “Sarap mo pagjakulan (It feels good to masturbate while imagining you),” respectively. All of Cruz’s daughters are still minors.

Cruz was not convinced when Guardian initially claimed on Facebook that his Instagram account was hacked. Yet on Feb. 14, he released a public apology through his Instagram.

“I am Lorence Anthony D. Guardian and I would like to apologize regarding the issue involving Conrad Hotel Manila, Epilogue Ph and Ms. Sunshine Cruz and her daughter,” he wrote.

Guardian explained that he was employed under a local manpower agency and not a direct employee of Conrad Hotel and Epilogue. He also said he was “very sorry” for the incident.

“To Ms. Sunshine Cruz and her daughter I am very sorry on what happened in the incident and what I have said through Instagram,” he wrote.

Guardian’s workplace also apologized to Cruz and her family for the incident.  /ra
