For Bangs Garcia, it is never too early to teach her one-year-old daughter Amelia some household chores.
The Kapamilya actress posted a video of little Amelia observing her while she is vacuuming the floor, At one point, the tot impressively wiped some of her spilled milk with a tissue, as seen on Garcia’s Instagram post last Saturday, Feb. 9.
“Doing chores will help your child feel like they’re part of the team,” she said. “Initially, it’ll be ‘playtime’ for them; but, eventually, they would learn that these duties are a part of daily life and that everyone has a role to play in running the household.”
Garcia noted that while the efforts of children may only make a small contribution, it is still a way to teach them about helping, and how it is “reasonable and fun.”
“Give them every opportunity and offer them plenty of praise, in time the results will improve too,” she added. “This will also help build their confidence and self-esteem.”
Some fans expressed how proud they were of Amelia, and lauded Garcia for teaching her daughter even at an early age.
