MANILA, Philippines — Comedian and talent manager Ogie Diaz defended Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil from netizens claiming the two admitted their relationship to promote their upcoming film.
Diaz took to Facebook on Monday to respond to these claims surrounding the reel and real life tandem LizQuen.
“Dahil may ipino-promote, kaya umamin? So kung walang ipino-promote at umamin, ang kasunod nang mga hanash diyan ay, ‘Hindi kasi pinag-uusapan, kaya umamin?’ or ‘Bakit umamin eh wala namang ipino-promote na movie?’” Diaz wrote.
Soberano and Gil admitted they have been in a relationship for over two years during their guesting in talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice” (GGV) on Sunday.

“So hindi mo talaga alam kung saan ka lulugar. Punta ka sa kanan o kaliwa, tiyak mahuhulog ka pa din. Dumedma ka, me sasabihin pa rin sila. So ngayong umamin ang LizQuen, me sinasabi pa din ‘yung iba,” he said.
Diaz, talent manager of Soberano, further said, “Kung iniisip n’yong may ipino-promote na ‘Alone/Together’ ‘yung dalawa kaya umamin, eh opinyon n’yo na po ‘yan.”
Soberano and Gil’s upcoming romantic drama film “Alone/Together” helmed by Antoinette Jadaone will premiere in cinemas on Wednesday, Feb. 13.
“Basta ang mahalaga, happy ang karamihan, lalo na ang mga LizQuen fans. At in fairness, kinilig pa sila sa pag-amin na ‘yon. At least, maraming napangiti ang loveteam, so sana good vibes na lang,” Diaz added. /cbb
