Jackie Forster could not help but be an emotional mama after son Jared flew to South Africa all by himself to participate in a choral concert.
Forster shared via Instagram on Feb. 11 that she has been crying a lot since Jared left for Johannesburg.
“It’s his first time to fly without us and for more than 3 days!??” Forster wrote. “He joined 10 other international schools to form the large group in the video, singing many songs in different African languages.”
Forster further shared that Jared had been preparing for the choral concert since the beginning of the school year and had worked so hard along the way.
“I can’t believe how much he has grown up this last year and how much he has achieved with stern and consistent guidance and his own perseverance,” she said of her son.
In her post, she shared some video clips of Jared’s performance in South Africa. In the videos, Jared can be seen singing in the front right of the stage, wearing a yellow necktie.
Forster, like any mother, cannot help but be proud of Jared, who she says is a “baby boy no more.”
She was also all praises for Jared last January when she shared to her fans that he got a high merit in his Grade 1 singing exams.
Forster, then, shared Jared’s certificate from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in London, indicating he passed with distinction.
“Their music teacher Ms. Grace told me [it] is the biggest pleasure and compliment specially since it’s his first exam,” raved Forster. “Even told me a few months back during the exams that she sincerely thinks Jared is one of the most talented kids she has ever taught.”
Great job, Jared! /ra
