Movie Trailer Review: ‘Time & Again’

Fantasy romantic-comedies will go as far as one’s imagination will take you. Such movies also expand the possibilities of what could happen throughout the movie. It breaks the norm of storytelling. It defies logic. And oftentimes the fantasy elements are those that will make the movie unpredictable to most moviegoers.
This is the case with ‘Time & Again’. The post-Valentine movie offer from Regal Entertainment, Inc. stars Winwyn Marquez and Enzo Pineda as its main cast.
Here, the onscreen character of Winwyn Marquez plays a single middle-class girl in her mid-20’s who is hopelessly in love. For one reason or another, she can’t muster the courage to make her inner feelings felt by the man of her dreams.
The man of her dreams is played by Enzo Pineda who happens to be a semi-regular in the diner where she works. That alone, one would imagine, would make it a convenient and perfect situation for the onscreen characters of Winwyn Marquez and Enzo Pineda to get to know each other better. But the problem is that the man seems not attracted to her at all. So, this is where things will get interesting to see how things will play out between them.
From what I have seen in the official trailer of ‘Time & Again’ it could have the underlying message to moviegoers of learning to seize the moment, living in the moment, and realizing that once you let the opportunities slip you by, you may never get the chance again to grab it.
Then, you throw in the fantasy aspect in ‘Time & Again’ where the onscreen character of Winwyn Marquez has been given a time-travelling device–an antique pocket watch–which she can literally rewind to any moment in her life, go back to that exact past moment in the hopes that with her new found “power” she can change or alter past events in her life. Will the magical antique pocket watch lead her to ending up with the onscreen character of Enzo Pineda, or not ? This is going to be the “clincher” in this movie because the outcomes and possibilities are limitless.

Realistically, to possess such a power via a time-travelling device does not only go against the laws of nature and physics, it could be disastrous if it is in the possession of an evil person or an irresponsible person !
As far as I know–I am jogging my memory here–and if my memory serves me right, this will be the first local fantasy romantic-comedy with a time-travelling aspect in it. This should make ‘Time & Again’ a curious and interesting movie.

Will the onscreen character of Winwyn Marquez do what she thinks is ideal for her and that of Enzo Pineda’s character ? Or will there be unexpected consequences in changing what otherwise should not be changed ?
Only time will tell for moviegoers once ‘Time & Again’ has its nationwide release on February 20, 2019.
