Iñigo Pascual expressed his grief today, Feb. 6, upon learning that a fan stricken with leukemia passed away.

“[I’m] so sorry my angel…,” the 21-year-old singer said on Twitter when he learned that 15-year-old Arnie Espina died.

“[You’re] the bravest girl [I’ve] ever met,” the singer said of his fan as he posted a photo of them hugging. “[Y]ou fought a good fight my love… thank you for sharing us your beautiful soul… i love you so much @arnieespina.”

Fellow singer Moira dela Torre comforted Pascual, “Sending you hugs, ñigs. Someone’s telling God about the joy you gave her here on earth. I love you.”

Another Pascual follower named Abby (@abbyxriley) said that although she never met Espina, she somehow knows that she was “a very sweet and kind girl.”

Other fans and commenters posted their condolences and prayers.

Pascual first met Espina in August 2018 while she was staying in Ospital ng Makati. “This is what she has to live, this is the life she has to live and yet she chooses to be happy, she still chooses to fight,” the singer said of her in a video posted by One Music PH.

He also organized a star-studded benefit concert for Espina held at the Historia Boutique Bar and Restaurant in Quezon City last January. JB
