An early favorite in the San Diego auditions, Filipino-Mexican-American Jessica Sanchez is on the Top 24 of the reality show “American Idol.” Sanchez first caught attention at age 12, when she joined “America’s Got Talent.” One of the judges, singer Brandy, predicted that she’d be a big star.—Bayani San Diego Jr.
