MANILA, Philippines — It looks like the comeback film of Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil slated for a release near Valentine’s Day will not only give kilig but also stir intrigue.
Many fans have started asking about the title “Alone/Together” upon its announcement in early January.

During a media gathering for the film on Wednesday, Soberano and Gil disclosed the meaning behind the mysterious title.
“Magkasama kaming nag-iisa. We’re alone but we’re together sharing that loneliness,” Soberano explained.
Gil elaborated more on this, saying “Well, it’s actually very sad nga eh. I think a lot of people in this world really feel alone even though they’re with their loved ones.”
“Ibig sabihin, maybe they’re not happy with their lives. They feel so alone even though they know that their great love is there,” he added.
Further, the 26-year-old actor said, “So, minsan kasi yung great love, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the right love. Hindi naman lahat ng great love ay natutuloy. So may ganung feeling ‘yung movie.”
In the teaser trailer released by Black Sheep Productions last week, Tin (Soberano) is featured as an art student from the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman who wants to change the world.

Raf (Gil) is supportive of her achievements, but is somehow skeptic of her dreams which led Tin to say, “Gusto mo, ‘sama pa kita eh! Mababago natin ang mundo.”
The video ends with more mature characters with Soberano’s character saying, “Alam mo, ‘di ko talaga alam kung ano nangyari.”
“Alone/Together,” which marks the comeback of LizQuen to the big screen, will premiere in cinemas on February 13, 2019.
Their last movie “My Ex and Whys” hit the screen in 2017. /cbb
