MANILA, Philippines — Singer-songwriter Moira Dela Torre was all praises for “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” (TNT) contestant John Mark Saga who made an emotional rendition of her song “Malaya.”
“Grabe ang galing sige po sayo nalang yung kanta mas masakit nung kinanta mo,” Dela Torre said in a tweet on Monday as she quoted a video of Saga’s performance.
Saga quoted Dela Torre’s tweet and said: “OMG IS THIS A DREAM??? Maraming maraming salamat po, Ms. @moirarachelle4!!! Sobrang honor po.”

Saga’s victory in last Saturday’s “TNT” segment of noontime show “It’s Showtime” paved way for him to enter the competition’s grand finals.
He was named as the second “TNT” record holder after he clinched his tenth consecutive daily win last December 2018.
His performance of Dela Torre’s 2017 hit has garnered over 600,000 views on Youtube, as of posting. /muf
