Carrie ‘overjoyed’ by birth of second son after string of challenges
After what’s been “a rough few years,” country music star Carrie Underwood is reportedly “beyond overjoyed” to give birth to her second child, a “healthy” boy named Jacob.
“They’re feeling truly blessed,” the source said of the “American Idol” 2005 winner and her husband, Mike Fisher, who already have a 3-year-old son, Isaiah.
“With the miscarriages and the accident, they didn’t even know if they’d get to this point.” (Carrie fell while walking a dog, and needed over 40 stitches to fix her face injury last year.)
In an Instagram post, Carrie said her family “couldn’t be happier” to have Jacob in their lives.
“Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good,” said the “Cry Pretty” singer, who also praised God for entrusting her the task of taking care of “this little miracle.”
