Chris Hemsworth to launch fitness app with workouts, meal plans, meditation

Thor’s powerful muscles are not just for the gods.

Actor Chris Hemsworth, known for playing the god of thunder in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is launching his own fitness app called Centr. This he announced yesterday, Jan. 23 on Instagram, with a promotional video.

Hemsworth stated that he had been working on the project for years. “My goal was to build a program that takes the guesswork and excuses out of training, eating and living well,” he explained.

@CentrFit gives you access to the same team of world-class experts in health and well-being that I’ve been fortunate enough to learn from over the years, and who have inspired me to live a healthier and happier life.”

The team includes Hemsworth’s personal trainer Luke Zocchi, his body double and stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton, and experts ranging from a vegan bodybuilder to meditation teachers.

The app features workouts that can be done at home or at the gym, such as HIIT (high-intensity interval training), boxing and yoga.

“Dietician-approved” meals from “world-class chefs” are also part of the app to ensure users’ healthy eating habits.

One’s inner well-being is addressed too, with guided meditations and “24/7 community support to keep you focused.”

While getting the app is free, accessing the content requires a subscription. Three types of subscriptions are currently offered, with one month worth $15.99 (about P845), $37.99 (about P2,000) for three months, and $95.99 (P5,000) for 12 months.

The app is currently accepting subscriptions through its website and will launch in February. JB
