MANILA, Philippines — Leyte Normal University (LNU) in Tacloban has apologized to YouTube personalities Manny Mua and Bretman Rock for including their photos in the school’s dress code poster.
“The University is saddened that this has to happen but we wish to inform you that this was done without malicious intentions of maligning your persons. With much regret we offer our sincerest apology for this action,” Jacqueline Espina, Dean of LNU Students Affairs said in a statement on Thursday.
The poster, which featured guidelines on proper grooming for men, circulated on social media.
The school marked colored and long hair as “inappropriate hairstyles” for men while sporting full beards, earrings and wearing makeup, as well as donning feminine clothing, were labeled “improper grooming for men.”
