Heartthrob Dingdong Dantes explains why, of late, he has been appearing in family-oriented films.

Both “Seven Sundays” (2017) and “Fantastica” (2018), where Dingdong is a cast member, had been well-received in terms of box-office returns.

“It’s not just because I have my own kids already. I guess it also has something to do with age and timing. There are so many factors being considered—if these projects landed on my lap 10 years ago, I don’t think these would be possible, because I was busy doing other things,” the 38-year-old actor explained.

“It seems that the universe has conspired and made this opportunity happen today. It’s made extra special because I already have a family of my own and that my choices are already changing in all aspects—be it in the food I eat, my lifestyle and, of course, in the manner of how I want to entertain my audience,” he declared. —MARINEL R.
