LOOK: Darren Criss celebrates Golden Globe win with mom

MANILA, Philippines — Filipino-American actor Darren Criss celebrated his big win at the 76th Golden Globe Awards with his beloved mom.

In an Instagram post on Saturday, Criss shared a photo of him and his Cebuana mom in a tight embrace.

“Morning after Golden Globes celebration was full of Filipino treats including this fun spritely lady with me,” Criss wrote in the caption.

Criss said his mom “dreamed of coming to this country (United States) and getting invited to glamorous parties like this”

“Well Mom, I’m glad you made it,” he added.

The Fil-Am actor bagged the award for Best Actor in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television for “The Assassination of Gianni Versace” last January 7, 2019.

In his speech, he honored his mom which he dubbed as “a firecracker Filipino woman.”
