Rufa Mae Quinto is back again on Instagram, days after her account got hacked. She marked her return with an anniversary greeting to husband Filipino-American Trevor Magallanes.
Quinto seemed to be in a reminiscent mood as she shared with her 800,000-strong followers a throwback photo of her and Magallanes—the first one they ever took, to be exact.
“Happy anniversary my love @trevvvsilog!” wrote the actress on Jan. 9. “Mahal na mahal kita! Todo na to! Our first picture together… ever.”
In another post, Quinto shared a sweet family picture of them with baby girl Alexandria. Motherhood has definitely changed the life of Quinto, as she shared that she barely even has time to pose for pictures now that Alexandria, who turns 2 this coming February, is around.
“Happy anniversary babe @trevvvsilog… Hinde na ako makaposing kaka alaga kay @alexandriamagallanes!” she said. “Haha we love you. 1 year old and going 2 years old our baby girl! Wow bilis!”
Despite living apart for the sake of their careers, Quinto and Magallanes prove that long-distance relationships are worth keeping as they take turns seeing each other in San Francisco, California, and Manila. As per local reports, the two became a couple before they returned to the Philippines in January 2016. They then tied the knot on Nov. 25, 2016, at the Ortigas branch of The Blue Leaf Events Place.
As to how they met, the happening was nothing short of unexpected. In an Inquirer interview in May 2016, Quinto shared that she kept traveling back to the United States, but did not know the reason why. It was on her fifth trip to the US when she finally met Magallanes.
“Fifth time ko pumunta sa America bago ko natagpuan pero every month yun di ko alam bat ako pumupunta dun basta baka negosyo o ewan ko,”she said then.
“Wala namang blind date, basta talagang nangyare lang, one day you met this person, you say hi, hello and then you click na right away. Yun na yun, everyday di na kami naghiwalay and then after one month, we got engaged.”
