MANILA, Philippines — Actress Heart Evangelista took to Instagram on Monday to share a photo during a dinner hosted by Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua.
“Last night’s dinner with the Ambassador of China to the Philippines, His Excellency Zhao Jianhua. Thank you for hosting such a wonderful dinner,” she wrote in the caption.
Also seen in the photo she posted were writer Garlic Garcia, GMA Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara and Evangelista’s husband Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero.
In separate Instagram post on the same day, the actress said she’s “about to embark on an adventure like no other.”
She even said she’ll be missing Manila and her husband Escudero in a series of Instagram stories.

It was later revealed she landed in China with an Instagram story captioned: “Hello China.”

“In transit. Thank you Lord for giving us a safe flight! Cheers to day 1! Here’s to hoping that we packed enough outfits for my stay here!” she wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
Her Instagram posts led her fans to speculate that she is in China to film “China Rich Girlfriend,” the sequel to movie “Crazy Rich Asians.”
