MANILA, Philippines — Queen of All Media Kris Aquino took to social media on Monday to say she will not run for political office because of her health condition.

Aquino started off her post on Instagram by saying, “PLEASE save this post and use it against me if i seek political office as proof: walang isang salita si kris.”

She then enumerated the reasons why she will not run for office. Aquino admitted she is not deserving of votes because she did not have the traits her late parents Benigno Aquino II and Corazon Aquino, and her brother former president Benigno Aquino III had.

“I am an AQUINO but i lack 2 traits that NINOY, CORY, and NOY all shared- selflessness and simplicity. That’s why i know, i’ll never be deserving of your votes,” she said.

The multimedia star shared she realized this by reminiscing how her mother employed these traits despite having cancer.

She recounted: “Someone ‘close’ to her, when i was pregnant with Josh, wrote a scathing article about my morals. Regardless of our estrangement, she called up the writer and said words to the effect of- ‘leave kris alone.’”

Further, Aquino wrote: “2nd during this time, my Mom saw a prominent woman crack a cruel joke about me, she made sure their paths never again crossed.”

“Lastly, she worried about my financial well-being, at that time tito nards jimenez controlled GMA 7. Close sila, so 1995 nakiusap sya for me to be given work and to please sign me before i gave birth, but never mention the favor was for her. That show was Star Talk,” she said.

Moreover, Aquino revealed experiencing “migraine, nonstop throwing up, and BP 190/11,” making her sisters worry. She said she was advised “to let go of the hurt & anger for my physical body to heal.”

“Believe me, i’m not healthy enough for politics,” she said. Aquino admitted, “Reality check kahit mababaw, totoo: sa pulitika bawal ang Chanel, Gucci, etc kasi hindi tama dahil hindi pa mayaman ang Pilipinas.”

She added: “Ngayon okay dahil alam nyo how hard i still work. Nakita nyo naman, pumorma pa rin kahit ito na ang hinaharap. My strength is marketing but if i sold myself sa campaign-super EPAL ako. Pinoys vote for inspiring, low maintenance candidates.”

Aquino, with her youngest son Bimby, flew to Singapore on Sunday to undergo more medical tests. In October 2018, she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. /cbb
