LOOK: Gab Valenciano shares inspiring message to fans

MANILA, Philippines — At the start of the 2019, singer-dancer Gab Valenciano shared how he picked himself up from the ground and made it through difficult times.

In his Instagram post on Wednesday, Valenciano penned a lengthy message about his journey and shared two photos of him before and after the experience.

“Early in 2018, I hit rock bottom. 145 lbs vs 171 lbs. March vs June. Lost vs found. It was the darkest and most painful time of my life,” Valenciano wrote.

“I kept in so much that one day, I imploded and tried to hurt myself to numb myself of the pain, disappointment, uncertainty, doubt and fear,” he added.

Valenciano reminded his fans that they are not alone and there is always hope.

“I am sharing this post to show you that there will always be hope and that you are not alone. That the light at the end of the tunnel will keep shining, you just need to keep walking towards it,” the singer-dancer wrote.

He then thanked the people who were there for him: his family, his closest friends, and doctors.

Valenciano said he is not ashamed of where he had been because he is proud of where his future will take him.

“If there’s one thing I got out of all this, it is empathy. I am not ashamed of where I’ve been because I am proud of where I’m headed,” he wrote.

He said he will be ready if “the enemy” will try to take him again.

“Happy YOU year, everyone. May you have the greatest year yet. This won’t be the last time the enemy will try to take me, but next time, I will be ready. Bring it,” he said. /ee
