LOOK: Kisses Delavin’s parents renew marriage vows dressed in hanbok

Kisses Delavin’s parents, Gilbert and Carrie, proved there is indeed “forever” as they marked their 25th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows.

The Delavin family jetted off to South Korea for a well-deserved Christmas vacation, as Kisses shared to fans via her Instagram account on Dec. 26. The young actress was evidently happy while standing in the middle of a busy street.

Kisses, who has a fair complexion and almond-shaped eyes, was surprised when she was mistaken by Koreans as a local. “Pinoy po ako! Di kita maintindihan! Tagalugin ko kayo eh,” she joked.

While the young actress was delighted with what Seoul has to offer, it was not the highlight of their trip. Rather, her parent’s renewal of vows for their silver wedding anniversary while wearing hanbok, a traditional form of Korean clothing, was what made their vacation a memorable one.

“May tumapos na ng laban!” Kisses said of her parents. “Uwian na talaga! May forever!”

Gilbert and Carrie sealed their renewal of vows with a kiss.

Their daughter, who was the picture of beauty in her colorful hanbok last Sunday, Dec. 30, recounted how she exchanged stories with a woman who approached her after her parents’ silver wedding ceremony. The woman held her hand and repeatedly told her “Nothing is impossible!”

“I didn’t know what she meant particularly; I nodded and said thank you again and we left,” she narrated. “But there was something in her eyes that made me feel it was an important message for me this 2019. Whatever lies ahead, I am nervous yet excited at the same time, and I am ready for it!” JB
