Regal’s ‘One Great Love’ wins Best Actor and Third Best Picture; earns nominations in MMFF 2018

Dennis Trillo bagged the Best Actor Award at the recently concluded 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal, December 27, Thursday.
Dennis Trillo won the award for his convincing and effective performance in ‘One Great Love’, Regal Entertainment, Inc.’s entry to the MMFF 2018.
‘One Great Love’ was also awarded the Third Best Picture and Best Musical Score by Miguel Mendoza.
On Instagram, Dennis Trillo expressed his gratitude to Regal’s matriarch, Mother Lily Monteverde, for giving him another opportunity to showcase his well-honed acting skills.
The actor also thanked his co-stars—Kim Chiu, JC de Vera, Marlo Mortel, and Miles Ocampo—for putting all their hearts to the movie.
He also thanked their director, Direk Eric Quizon, for the guidance.
Dennis wrote: “Labing apat na taon mula noong ako’y unang nakatanggap ng ganitong parangal, para sa pelikulang Aishite Imasu 1941 directed by Joel Lamangan, na siya ring pinaka una kong pelikulang nagawa sa buong buhay ko. Salamat po Mother Lily sa pagtitiwala noon pa man, hindi hindi ko po yun makakalimutan.
“Taos puso din ang aking pasasalamat kay Miss Kim Chiu, JC De Vera, Marlo Mortel, at Miles Ocampo lahat ay magagaling at seryoso sa trabaho, mapalad at proud akong nakagawa ng proyekto kasama kayo.
“Malaking bagay din ang tulong at paggabay ng aming director na si Direk Eric Quizon. Salamat sa pagbigay ng kumpiyansa sa akin upang magampanan ko ng maayos ang role ni Ian.
“Ang lahat ng ito ay hindi ko magagawa kung hindi sa tulong ng lahat ng mga mahal ko sa buhay. Salamat sa inyong pag aalaga at pagmamahal sakin lalu na kay @mercadojenny
“Sana po ay mapanood niyo ang #onegreatlove Merry Christmas and Happy New Year po sa inyong lahat.”
Meanwhile, ‘One Great Love’ also earned a number of nominations for this year’s MMFF.
