MANILA, Philippines — Known for being open about his rehabilitation for substance abuse, actor JM De Guzman once again relates yet another experience in his struggle against drug addiction.
In his Instagram post, De Guzman shared that during his time at the Self Enhancement for Life Foundation (SELF) rehabilitation program, he spent 33 days facing the wall “as a behavioral tool.”
“Inside rehab I spent 33 days facing the wall, as a behavioral tool. Not allowed to talk. just faced the wall. Reflected from 600am-900pm until I accepted my recovery,” De Guzman wrote in his post.
He said it was his “turning point.”
In the photo taken by Barbie Imperial, De Guzman could be seen facing a wall decorated with stencils of banana leaves.
De Guzman graduated from the Self Enhancement for Life Foundation (SELF) rehabilitation program last July after struggling with drug addiction.
He then bounced back into show business after a two-year hiatus with projects like “Araw Gabi,” “Kung Paano Siya Nawala.” /muf
