Ryza Cenon was having none of the hate she was receiving from die-hard fans of Maine Mendoza.

The actress was receiving hate from fans and followers of the Phenomenal Star, making her reach out and appeal to the actress to make it stop in a Twitter post Friday.

The fans’ anger stemmed from a moment at the recent 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival Gawad ng Parangal on Thursday.  As seen in Cenon’s Twitter post, fans were calling her out for not mentioning Mendoza’s name when she presented the FPJ Memorial Award to the cast and crew of  “Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles.”

“Linawin ko lang hindi ako ang tumanggap ng FPJ Memorial Award at pakinggan nyo rin kung ang sinabi ni Ms. Camille (Montaño, the movie’s executive in charge of production) ang sabi nya “Sa ngalan ng aming Producers” kaya wag manghusga [agad],” she told the fans.

(I want to make it clear that I wasn’t the one who recevied the FPJ Memorial Award and listen carefully at what Ms. Camille said, “On behalf of our producers,” so don’t judge quickly.)

Cenon also showed a photo of what she wore that day compared with the one who was on stage to receive the award.

“I will not ignore that kind of mentality,” Cenon stood her ground. “Unfair sa mga taong nananahimik tapos idadamay pangalan mo sa hindi mo ginawa. No!!! That’s bullying!! #notobullying (Unfair to the people staying quiet but whose names get dragged for something they didn’t do. No!!! That’s bullying!!)

Mendoza has not spoken up about the issue, as of this writing.  /ra
