Ai-Ai Delas Alas spends Christmas doing charity work in Tondo
MANILA, Philippines — Ai-Ai Delas Alas spread the holiday cheer as she spent Christmas Day doing charity work in Tondo, Manila.
The comedienne shared snapshots from her visit at the Missionaries of Charity in Tondo, Manila in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

“Tuwing pasko dec 25 ay sine celebrate namin and pasko sa MISSIONARIES OF CHARITY SA TONDO MANILA. Kung susumahin mga 24 years na akong dumadalaw dito at mga 20 years na din akong naglilingkod,” Delas Alas wrote.
As seen in one photo, she recounted how she ended up hugging a kid she never knew despite visiting the missionary for years.
“Ang batang to hindi ko kakilala pag pasok ko kanina ni lock nya yung arms ko sa katawan nya hehe natutuwa ako and may certain happiness na hindi mo maipaliwanag,” she said.
The actress and her children then went to the Home of Joy, also located in Tondo, Manila.
She explained the reason why she does this every Christmas, saying “bakit ko ito ginagawa hindi para mag pa impress at mag pa bida .. dahil gusto kong matutunan ng aking pamilya specially ng mga anak ko to be selfless and generous and na ma realized nila how blessed they are na wala sila sa ganitong kalagayan.”
Delas Alas then expressed thanks to God for all the blessings she and her family have received: “And i/we PRAISE AND GRATEFUL sa ating panginoon na kami ay may kinakain araw araw and may maayos kaming bahay kaming tinitirhan, may hamon at keso sa noche buena.”
