Sunshine Cruz says ‘freedom’ among ‘best gifts’ she got this year
MANILA, Philippines — As the end of 2018 nears, actress Sunshine Cruz recounted the blessings she has received this year and said “freedom” was among her “best gifts.”

“I am really excited and looking forward to what 2019 has in store for me. This year was definitely truly colorful,” she wrote in an Instagram post on Monday.
“I have had my share of trials but was able to overcome them,” she admitted. “Yes! Because I am tough!”
As the Kapuso actress shared the things she learned and realized this year, she noted: “I also got my freedom. One of the best gifts I got this year.”
Cruz said she always believed that as long as one does not hurt others, “life will reciprocate and the truth shall always prevail.”
She may have lost people she thought were true, the actress remained positive saying she “gained better friends who stuck by me while others believed in hearsay.”
Cruz ended her post by expressing thanks to her family and friends: “To my family (thank you Mama, Ates, my beautiful princesses, my Macky and his children for the love and support, all of you inspire me to be a better version of myself), friends and followers, Maligayang pasko po sa inyo and may God bless us all!”
Cruz’s petition to annul her marriage with Cesar Montano was granted by a court in September 2018. She filed the annulment petition in 2014./lb
